Roe Deer Rescue
We had a tiny Roe Deer brought to the wildlife hospital as it had been found at the bottom of a wall in Rochdale. The finder did their best to put it back for the mother to find but after hours of watching she didn’t appear. With great reluctance the finder made the decision to rescue the deer and bring it to Lower Moss Wood.

As the deer needs feeding every 3 hours the decision was made that Rachel should take it home to care for it. The deer is housed in a large dog carrier which was a donation from a supporter and has come in handy for this little job. To keep him warm he is nestled on a heat mat with fleece bedding and a blanket.

Would love an update! How is the little deer getting on?
Thank you for the good work you’re all doing 🙂
Hello Richard
The Roe deer was taken to Hesslehead Widlife Hospital in Scotland where he could mix with other deer and has since been successfully released.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards
Lower Moss Wood team.
